Surface Preparation
The surface must be clean, dry, level, load-bearing and prepared in accordance with the relevant standards. Contaminants and substances that may impair adhesion must be removed.
Highly absorbent surfaces should be primed with products such as “UniGrund” penetrating primer or “GrundKonzentrat” primer concentrate.
For gypsum or clay surfaces, use “GipsGrund”. Highly alkaline substrates should be primed with “VinylGrund D14”.
To prevent or treat contamination by mold, mildew, algae or fungi, apply “BiozidGrund”.
Material Preparation
“RollSpachtel D75” is a ready-to-use dispersion-based filler. Stir the contents thoroughly using a low-speed mixer.
If necessary, the material may be diluted with water to adjust consistency, but not more than 2% by weight.
For mechanical application, follow the equipment manufacturer’s operating instructions.
If required, the filler may be tinted with pigments. The recommended dosage is 20 ml of “Decotoner” D101 Anthracite per 27 kg of “RollSpachtel D75”.
Tinting improves visual control of the drying process and helps identify sanded areas.
Attention: always observe the exact amount of water specified on the packaging when adjusting consistency.
Application
Roller Application
Apply the filler using a special structural roller with a 16 mm polyacrylic nap, 230 mm wide.
Rollers with a nap length of 11–18 mm made of polyacrylic or polyamide may also be used. Roller width: 200–250 mm. For narrow areas or corners: 100–150 mm.
After even application, smooth the surface with a stainless steel trowel.
Trowel Application
Apply the material evenly with a stainless steel trowel, pressing firmly against the substrate. Do not exceed the recommended maximum layer thickness.
Application of Subsequent Coat
The next coat may be applied in one of two ways:
onto the fresh layer — during the early drying stage, when the surface is still damp but has lost its gloss (approximately 2 hours at 20 °C and 55% relative humidity; for highly absorbent substrates the time may be shorter);
after full curing of the previous layer — in this case, lightly moisten the surface with water to minimize air bubble formation during application.
Joint Treatment of Gypsum Boards with Reinforcing Tape
Apply the material directly into the properly prepared joint between adjacent gypsum boards, ensuring complete filling.
After initial setting, apply a thin leveling layer and embed the reinforcing tape. Press the tape firmly to avoid wrinkles or air inclusions.
Cover the tape with a thin layer of material and allow to fully cure.
The material is suitable for filling screw heads used for fixing gypsum boards.
