The surface must be clean, dry, level, load-bearing and meet the conditions of preparation in accordance with the requirements.

Contaminants and substances that adversely affect adhesion must be removed and unevenness or chips smoothed with suitable materials, such as Klebe -und ArmierungsMasse AM 195 or KlebeMasse KM 193. The primed base has the appearance of a white rough surface.

Before use, Silikon-PutzGrund 118 primer must be thoroughly mixed with a low-speed drill with a special nozzle. If necessary, to adjust the consistency, the primer can be diluted with water, but not more than 5% by weight.

Primer Silikon-PutzGrund 118 must be applied with a paint roller, brush or paintbrush. After work or during long breaks, tools must be thoroughly cleaned and rinsed with water. During the work, the surface must be protected from precipitation, fog, strong wind or direct sunlight until the material is completely dry. Splashes and stains from primer on surfaces must be removed or washed off immediately with water. Silikon-PutzGrund 118 primer is not intended for the treatment of horizontal surfaces that are constantly exposed to water.

During application, and during drying, the ambient air temperature and the substrate must not fall below +5°C and rise above +30°C. Do not apply in direct sunlight, strong wind, fog, high humidity or when waiting for frost in the coming days.
