“Art Primer” can be tinted using Decotoner and Toscana Toner TM ELF DECOR colorants, as well as the Elf Tinting System and other tinting systems on appropriate equipment in light and pastel shades.
Surface preparation
When preparing the substrate and carrying out work, follow the requirements of DSTU-N B A.3.1-23:2013 and DSTU-N B V.2.6-212:2016. The surface must be clean, dry, sound, and properly prepared. Contaminants and substances that reduce paint adhesion (oil and grease stains, lubricants, bituminous mastics, unstable coatings, etc.), as well as weak areas, must be removed.
Surface irregularities should be leveled with FinishSpachtel D60 or FinishSpachtel D70.
Sound alkyd and oil coatings must be sanded and dust-free.
Highly absorbent surfaces should be primed with “UniGrund” or “GrundKonzentrat”. For gypsum or clay substrates, use “GipsGrund”. Highly alkaline surfaces should be treated with “VinylGrund D14”. To prevent or eliminate mold, fungi, or algae, use “BiozidGrund”.
Material preparation
“Art Primer” is a ready-to-use dispersion paint. Stir thoroughly with a low-speed mixer. If necessary, dilute with water to adjust consistency. Add water in equal amounts to each container to avoid color differences.
Application
Apply “Art Primer” in two coats, evenly distributing the material.
1st coat — dilute up to 10% with water.
2nd coat — apply undiluted.
The choice of tools affects the surface texture and application speed. Use a roller, brush, or spray equipment.
