The surface must be clean, dry, flat, able to bear the load and meet the conditions of preparation in accordance with the above-mentioned requirements. Dirt and substances that adversely affect adhesion must be removed. Completely remove the old wallpaper along with the remaining glue. The unevenness is recommended to be leveled using putties "FinishSpachtel D60" or "FinishSpachtel D70" from TM Elf®.
Highly absorbent surfaces must be primed with such materials as the fixing primer "UniGrund" or the primer concentrate "GrundKonzentrat". Highly alkaline surfaces are recommended to be primed with "VinylGrund D14". "BiozidGrund" should be used to prevent contamination or in case of existing contamination of the base with mold, mildew, algae or fungi.
Execution of robots
Before use, it is recommended to mix the "StyroporKleber" glue with a spatula or a low-speed drill with a nozzle.
- Depending on the type and shape of decorative elements, glue can be applied in two ways:
Spot-stripe - adhesive paste is applied to the base in the form of elongated stripes or spot spots with the help of a flat spatula or trowel. As a rule, it is used for voluminous, heavy and decorative elements with a developed shape.
- Solid - adhesive paste is applied to the entire surface of the base using a notched spatula with a tooth size corresponding to the thickness of the adhesive layer.
In the case of a small contact area of the decorative element with the base, it is recommended to apply adhesive paste to both bases.
After applying the glue, the decorative product must be carefully fixed in the place of attachment and strongly pressed for a few seconds. Excess adhesive paste must be carefully removed. 24 hours after fixing the decorative elements, you should carefully inspect the object and fill possible cracks or gaps between the elements and the base with the help of "StyroporKleber" adhesive paste.
