TOSCANA is a decorative coating based on natural lime for interior use. Thanks to special types of mineral fillers, the coating acquires a matte effect. Various techniques for applying this decorative coating make it possible to obtain textures that imitate natural materials. An additional effect is provided by natural mica, which is part of the material.

Antifungal properties

Surface preparation:

The surface must be solid, dry, and free from efflorescence, dust, dirt, oil and grease. Previously painted surfaces should be cleaned of old flaking material and should be cleaned by sandpaper. Places affected by mold or moss must be thoroughly cleaned mechanically and treated with primer BIOZIDGRUND (TM "ELF") or other special means.

Execution of works:

Depending on the base, up to 10% water can be added. Apply QUARTZ PRIMER to the prepared surface. Wait until it’s completely dry. Using a professional stainless steel tool (trowel, float), apply the first layer of material, evenly distributing the product over the entire surface.

To obtain a deeper pattern, we recommend leaving the characteristic sags and irregularities on the first layer. After the first layer has completely dried (6-8 hours) with smaller movements, pressing the trowel harder, apply the second layer of the material, at the same time sealing the surface. Before applying the decorative layer, it is recommended to prime the surface with primer VINYLGRUND D 14 (TM "ELF"). This will facilitate the application of the topcoat and prevent the formation of jointing spots.

It is recommended to use a variety of finishing materials as a decorative and protective layer indoors: for a matte effect, use DECOR WAX TOSCANA, and for a more glossy surface, use DECOR WAX or DECOR WAX MURANO. It is also possible to apply a previously tinted TOSCANA base, followed by treatment with finishing compounds, which will give an additional effect. It is recommended to use VARNISH PROTECT varnishes as a reinforcement of the protective layer. When carrying out facade work, it is recommended to use waterproofing AQUABARRIERE (TM "ELF"), and for subsequent decoration and creating a patina effect, VINTAGE velature should be used.
